Become a Lively Helper

Kickstart your career while making a positive difference to the lives of older Australians in your community.

Why work as a Lively Helper?

At Lively, we think meaningful work can start from your very first job.

Care isn't a commodity at Lively, and our Helpers deliver it a little differently from other providers.

You're not just here to help around the house: we give you the tools and space to develop an authentic connection with the older people you support. While you've got your own unique skills and experiences, so do they, and our hope is that you're both able to gain something from the relationship.

In exchange, you'll be given real autonomy and responsibility from the get-go, developing essential workplace skills that'll set you up for success in your career - wherever it may lead.

Who we’re looking for

To become a Lively Helper, you'll be:

  • Between 18-25 years of age
  • Interested in learning about older people's lives and experiences
  • Patient, understanding and empathetic to other people's situations, and able to communicate effectively with them
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work independently

Prior experience is appreciated, but absolutely not necessary - you'll receive all the training you need to deliver great care on the job.
